Exeter City spent five years in the Football Conference (now known as the National League) after being relegated from D3 at the end of the 2002/03 season.
Exeter were promoted back in to the Football League at the second attempt in a play off final at Wembley beating Cambridge United 1-9 at the end of the 2007/08 season.
